Swim Spa 2017

Hey everyone

Swim Spas have been around for a while now but I'm struggling to find any information on them in any forums.

Has anyone bought a swim spa or used one before?

You can get some pretty crazy ones these days.

Something like this:
http://www.vortexspas.com.au/vortex-spas/aqualap

If you get the EXTREME version with all the inclusions, it comes with:

- sound system with bluetooth connectivity or 3.5mm connection with splash proof area for phone
- 1.5m deep !
- Lounge Seat
- Shoulder and Neck Therapy Seat
- 2 back massage seats
- 2 standing massage zones
- Backlit Drink holders
- Fully controllable led lighting
- 4 swim jets
- 4 water pumps
- 2400 lpm swim flow
- full touch pad for temp control, music, lighting, jets
- water features

I must admit, I was looking at a small lap pool which will probably cost a minimum of 40K. This is now sounding very appealing....and more exciting.

Any feedback out there??

Thanks
We’re looking at putting a swimspa in once our house is built but we want it inground, so this limits our choices dramatically. As far as I’m aware ‘endless’ is our only option in Vic for this.

Hey Aegean...yes I imagine inground would be nice.

However saying that, I like them above ground because the outer cases now come in some beautiful colours and also have some features incorporated into them. Plus not to mention much cheaper.

Yes the installation would be much MUCH cheaper!

I have read that the "swim spa" side of things can be a bit gimmicky.

But some of the newer ones now you can get more powerful jets (and more than one jet). So I imagine they have improved....but I also imagine the cost of running the spa with the swimming jets would be expensive!

At 5.9m though it can also double up as a pool for the kids.
