Oh and the Nova 6 now comes in varying depth now not just in 1.5m if anyone is looking at that one online.
Browse Forums Pools & Spas Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 23Apr 11, 2017 10:12 am Oh I like that one! I checked their website again last night and that's why I never contacted them-because they didn't have quite the right pool we were after. Loz is their a slightly smaller version of that pool? Otherwise they sound great. Too bad you can't customise them with an extra bench seat or something. Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 26Apr 11, 2017 2:43 pm I emailed and just called Tranquility. They said Shannon will call me tomorrow to go through the options. Fingers crossed they've got a new one under 6m long 🤞 I like the resort as it's got a lot of bench seat space. If only there was a resort 5m! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'll update when I hear back from Shannon. In other news when I was looking at the electric heat pump from Astral that Barrier reef priced us I saw they (Astral) also sell spring boards and water slides no idea how much but so good! Cool fingers x there is something for you! Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 29Apr 12, 2017 11:02 pm Thanks Wheelie Works. I found those online and looked at them all. Seems like the above, most places have the bench seat on the short end. We really want it on the long side of the rectangle. Wheelie Works you might know this - Barrier Reef Pools have said we need crusher dust & cement around the fiberglass shell, whereas Coastline and Tranquility have said a 400mm concrete bond beam. There's no allowance in the Barrier Reef pool for the bond beam - though a quick google and looks like its definitely needed? All fibreglass pools need stabilised backfill (crusher dust or sand with cement ) . A bond beam is also needed . It is part of the engineering structure of the pool . 400mm is the minimum . You wold generally get the whole area you plan to pave around the pool done . Check with supplier to see if they have included in install price or if is a additional cost . The only variation to this if the pool has been engineered and reinforced to be installed out of ground . Another little tip is to ask for a copy of the pool warranty and compare before buying . Looking at the number of years on the brochure isn't always as it seems . Sometimes the limitations make it worthless . Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 31Apr 13, 2017 10:36 am Oh good tips. Thanks so much Wheelie. Yes after looking closer at the Barrier reef price I think they've excluded lots of things that the Coastline quote includes (thus the huge variation). We've got Tranquility pools coming next week to do a price too, so will be good to compare the price, inclusions and warranty of all three. The bond beam with Tranquility was listed in all our qoutes as an 'extra' that you could choose for them to complete or not at a price of $1700. We are not including it as we are getting the bigger area around the pool fully concreted instead (as wheelie described...tranquility not doing this but have given us their landscapers contacts to deal with directly) Doing this way looks neater I think and there is no chance of pavers moving and being uneven in the future. Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 36Apr 19, 2017 12:38 pm jhiace I requested a quote from tranquility nearly two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything... Might have to do it the old fashioned way and call them.. Yes just ring them. Their web stuff isn't that flash lol. Re: Barrier Reef Pools? 39Apr 19, 2017 9:28 pm jhiace Called them, Shannon was great... will send through some indicative pricing today and will go from there Did he did he did he? He didn't email us anything, just said he'd come over to give a price. I'm impatient and wish he emailed a price. I'm hanging to see how it compares to Barrier reef. I'll PM you Hi, I had a barrier reef pool installed less that 2 years ago and the gel coat is already fading. The colour is electric grey shimmer which isn’t available… 0 2665 I’m not a structural engineer but I’m free. you still need an engineer for the plans. I only have part of your plans, but you seem to have a 850mm drop from the side… 3 7754 6 2994 |
