Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 May 26, 2016 6:34 pm Hi all, Hoping someone can help. We have just built a new house and have a fibreglass pool installed. The fibreglass pool was installed before the build and was covered and left while the house was being built. The pool company has come back to commission the pool and install all the equipment etc and it looks like there is a fair bit of water leaking from the pool surround. We understand this could be due to multiple reasons some less serious like a faulty flap, broken pipe to a serious issue like a leak from the pool shell. I am keen to have some independent expert look at this and give us some advice. We used an independent building inspector for our house build, I am wondering if there are any independent inspectors for pool. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Pool structure inspectors Sydney 2May 26, 2016 8:01 pm Not sure about a independent pool inspector . What is the problem ? Is it loosing water ? Is the stand pipe full of water ? If it is defiantly loosing water call a leak detector . They will pinpoint were the leak is . At the moment it could be the pool builders or the house builder fault . Re: Pool structure inspectors Sydney 3May 26, 2016 8:23 pm wheeliworks Not sure about a independent pool inspector . We have called a pool leak detector. The pool company is investigating it as well. viewtopic.php?t=78985 There is no reason why building contract reconciliation cannot be done prior to handover, if the builder won't do it get someone to do it for you.
