Browse Forums Pools & Spas Re: Pool Kit or Pool Builder? 3Dec 15, 2015 1:32 pm PoolHelp2015 Hi. We are looking at getting our first pool. We live in Sydney. Needless to say, we know very little about what is involved in getting a pool. I have contacted a pool builder to do an inspection (Irresistible Pools) but am still waiting for a time to be made. I have been trying to gather recent information from people who have 'been there, don't that' but couldn't find a lot. If anyone has experience with a pool kit, I'd love to hear how it went, who you got the kit from, whether you'd recommend the supplier and whether you'd go down the pool kit route again. If you got someone to do the whole shebang for you, please let me know who you went with and if you would recommend them. Finally, can anyone please tell me how much I should be budgeting for a pool without all the bells and whistles? We are thinking of a 7.5 pool as the bigger designs don't fit in the area we have proposed. I was hoping $50,000 would cover everything (including tiles and fencing which we will do ourselves). Thank you for your time and honest feedback. We used Compass - very good. $50k would get you a lovely pool - self cleaning too I'd say. Ceramic F/glass and probably a water feature. Give them a ring. Head Office is in Newcastle I believe - but we got one here - SEQ. Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20434 |
