I hate to scare you, but $30k is a very inexpensive in-ground pool. It's not unusual for even the most basic of in-ground pools to cost $40k-$60k by the time all excavation and construction costs, fencing, finishing, equipment, electrical, plumbing etc is factored in. I'd have thought a FG type would be available - if its just a basic rectangle.
