Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Jul 17, 2013 5:01 pm Hi We have just had a quote to have the pavers and coping done around our new pool. We're putting in a 7mx3m pool with a 2mx2m spa inside that area which needs a small course way. We just want a 900mm area all the way around to be paved (limited space very small backyard). The quote came back at just under $4000 to do the concrete to prepare for the pavers and then almost $12,000 to pave (including the pavers) so all up just under $16,000. We were shocked! The pavers we are using are $64 per sqm which means this guy is charging over $650 per sqm for the rest of the materials (sand, mortar, grout, cement?) and the labour. WT! Seems insane to us. Needless to say we are getting some more quotes but was just wondering what others have paid for similar work. We are in Melbourne. Anyone got an opinion? Thanks for any help Fly Re: Cost of Paving around a pool in Melbourne 2Jul 17, 2013 9:16 pm Our pool is the same size & we already have a 600mm concrete beam around it. We are paving about 1.2m around 3 sides & approx 2.5 m on the remaining side. The pavers we have chosen are a similar price to yours. Just had 2 quotes for concreting, laying & sealing pavers if we supply the pavers. One quote approx $4K, the other $6k. Our pavers will be about $3.5K. We are in SE Melbourne. Re: Cost of Paving around a pool in Melbourne 3Jul 18, 2013 8:56 am Hi Thanks so much for replying. That confirms the quote we got was crazy. Would you be happy to pm me the names & numbers of the guys you got to quote? We're in the Eastern suburbs so they might come to us. Anyone else with costs or recommendations for paving guys would be most appreciated. Thanks Fly Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea.
