We are currently looking at p0ols so I would love to hear of your experience please. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 2Mar 14, 2013 1:29 pm Oh me too:) Friends of ours got one through Summertime pools and were happy with it apparently not the cheapest but the most professional as far as they were concerned. I have contacted them but no reponse:( Have a catalogue from freedom pools atm though Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 3Mar 15, 2013 8:39 am I have the free SPASASA magazine (ordered through their website) and Summertime are members of the association along with Freedom, Narellen and Australian Outdoor Living. I hadn't considered AOL but they have won a number of awards, along with Summertime and Freedom. I think Narellen is new to SA but big in Vic or NSW. Another pool company is Statew1de but they are not members of SPASASA however they are have a good deal on at the moment, just not sure how genuine it is or the reputation of the company. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 4Mar 15, 2013 2:29 pm I have ordered a catalogue from them too:) Got a reply back from summertime this morning actually:) The Adelaide pool and spa show is on in July apparently too. Hoping to get on in around August, wont get much use out of it now I guess:) Have heard back from Narrellan to I think it was. Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 5Mar 20, 2013 10:05 pm We started this same process back in November to which we contacted Freedom/ Summertime / AOL / Riverina We chose the above with all being reputable SPASA members and other various reasons such as locality and in AOL case their promotion at the Pool & Spa Expo. I will summarise our experience and I stress our experience so please DYOR Note: Our commentary on pricing was based on similar pool sizes to ensure consistency for comparison purposes. Freedom / Summertime had comparable prices, AOL slightly more expensive. Riverina was outside our Budget . We followed up our original price estimate with Freedom via an email response and never heard back. So One down. Riverina highest price and was outside our Budget. Two down. I confirm all parties were prompt to respond and I would have to say Summertime demonstrated the best Customer Service and took a vested interest in what our objective was and never tried the hard sell. Also followed up our enquiry with courtesy and no pressure, always seemed willing to offer advice or information. PS If you need a water tank to install they can help out there also and no doubt will be price it competitively in to your package !!! AOL also provided sound advice and stood by their product as a leader in quality workmanship over and above standard Aust manufacturing standards. Their warranty of 25yrs stays with the house should you sell at some stage, am not sure re Summertime @ this stage. So we are down to two potential suppliers. PS the next Pool & Spa Expo is 6 & 7 July Deposit Paid 31/10/12 Selections 25/1/13 NHC 28/2 DCA 20/3 Siteworks 2/5 Slabbed 20/5 Wall Frames 3/6 Brickwork Finished 2/7 Lock Up 19/7 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=58864 Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 6Mar 25, 2013 12:06 pm Although we are in Victoria, I can highly recommend Narellan. We know 5 friends who have used them too and everyone is very happy. We got several quotes, all very similar so in the end went with the recommendations of friends. Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 7Mar 28, 2013 7:07 am We have decided to wait for the pool and spa expo in July. We should be able to get a better idea all in one place although we will still have a look at pools in the meantime. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 9Oct 24, 2013 6:50 pm Hi Babysaurs, no, we did go to the show but are still deciding whether we really want to spend all that money. We're also considering a big pond feature. How about you? https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 11Jan 18, 2014 4:30 pm Hi Dreamcometrue, Don't know if you remember me but we built with ADH in Salisbury Heights. We are.will be looking for a pool in the next year I think. Did you end up getting one and if so who did you go with? Can I ask roughly how much your quotes etc were? BTW are you happy with your home and ADH? Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 12Jan 19, 2014 8:30 am We used Compass. They have a web site. A good range of pools and a you beaut self cleaning system that is worth it ! Not cheap - but quality goods. Re: Fibreglass po0l - SA 14Jan 25, 2014 11:52 am ingrid74 Can I ask how much you paid Saint Mike and what that included? Yep - under $50k all up. We had a glass fence on main part - but used the metal "invisible" posts. Our pool had the self cleaner, ph and chlorine automatic thingos. Top filters etc - ie could have done a bigger pool. We got the X-trainer 7.2 x 3.7m. Also water feature. Also - reverse cycle heater. They did the coping/paving and edging but we did more paving. They also did a minor supporting wall. We have a light in-pool and handrail. We also got switches for the pool lights, heater, and stuff inside. Compared to others I like our gauges - bigger and easier to read. I've seen other pools and their equipment and am impressed with mine - much bigger and stronger - and when I spoke to pool shop they said it was much better than most of the stuff they saw. We had a few hiccups but overall they were ok. Tip - you must get everything spelled out in contract - don't go on someone's word. |
