I have also got a few early quotes about 25-35K for a heat recovery ventilation system about 10k for an automated pool cover. Re: Advice re indoor lap pool in Melbourne 7Jul 16, 2012 1:59 pm Hello Petrous, Have you considered a smaller pool that is more economical to run, easy to maintain and best of all designed to actually swim in? We have pools that are small in space and also have a retractable cover that completely controls humidity when the pool is covered, ventilation in the form of an exhaust fan or window that can be opened are required for when the pool is being used. Our pools can be installed fully or partially in-ground or above ground. The standard size pool is 2.13m x 4.26m x 1.07m (internal dims) but you can choose up to our 3.05m x 4.87m or a depth of 1.22m or 1.37m. The water quality system includes an 4kw electric heater for all year round swimming and playing. Quite a few of our customers have opted for either a combination of solar and electric or chosen gas heating or a heat pump. The better the pool is insulated the better the pool will retain the heat, especially if you cover as soon as you have finished using. There is an option for a manual or automatic retractable cover. The Fastlane Pool is portable, so if you ever move you can take the pool with you. You should be able to get it designed with correct flow through ventilation & use correct building materials it should be fine. It needs be treated a bit like a bathroom . A heat pump can also be set up to remove humidity from the room . Considering possible risk of damage & possible cost of a dehumidifier I would recommend you consult a independent architect Re: Advice re indoor lap pool in Melbourne 9Jul 16, 2012 8:26 pm FastlanePools Hello Petrous, Have you considered a smaller pool that is more economical to run, easy to maintain and best of all designed to actually swim in?
