Still yet to pick coping.. we are not doing a waterline tile.. just white pebble.... Have you picked your coping? Re: Our Pool Thread....we have a concrete shell!!! 24May 23, 2012 7:37 pm So the pebble is continuing right up under the coper? We are doing travertine, finally decided on the weekend, our tiler for the house recommend we went to a travertine place that specializes in pools at brook ale, so made the trek down there on Saturday. Re: Our Pool Thread....we have a concrete shell!!! 25Sep 20, 2012 1:50 pm Well we are back onto getting this pool finished... Here is the coping, its Austral Riveria Monte Carlo. Pebbles will be all white. Fence inspection passed today so pool will be completed by the end of next week if the weather is kind to us. Re: Our Pool Thread....we have a concrete shell!!! 27Sep 20, 2012 5:51 pm Looking good Cass, not far behind you, our edges have been screeded and something else was put on yesterday, copers being laid Monday. We do have delay though, not sure what filter products you are using but poolrite went into liquidation last week, so we have a wait now for another filter etc Re: Our Pool Thread....we have a concrete shell!!! 30Sep 26, 2012 5:09 am Cass Looks great, are you doing any pavers around the pool. Is it filled yet ???? Had our pool fence quoted yesterday. looking at a mix of framess and semi framesless glass but all the paving needs to be done first was hoping to get this done later and just have the concrete this summer. Had our pool fence quoted yesterday. looking at a mix of framess and semi framesless glass but all the paving needs to be done first was hoping to get this done later and just have the concrete this summer. The guys are here today doing the interior. Tomorrow it starts to get filled with water. Kids will be able to swim in it on the weekend if they dare We are looking at synthetic grass for the pool surround. I have a person coming for a final measure this week. Re: Our Pool Thread....tomorrow we fill with water!!!! 32Sep 26, 2012 3:45 pm Today the pebbles were done.. the guys arrived at 6am and left just after 1pm. there were 4 of them and they worked non stop. It will get a light acid clean in the afternoon and then they will start filling the pool. We picked a standard white pebble. I would have loved to have had the extra $$$$ for the blue and black glass to be mixed through but that money will go towards the surrounds of the pool... as its currently mud... All in all once filled with water it will have a blue water effect. Re: Our Pool Thread....tomorrow we fill with water!!!! 33Sep 26, 2012 5:35 pm Wow ... it's a decent size!! Re: Our Pool Thread....tomorrow we fill with water!!!! 35Sep 26, 2012 7:21 pm McLaren Yes, it has turned out to be deeper than we thought and on paper we thought it would be quite small but its turned out pretty decent. With a rough run at the start with a crappy site supervisor and when we demanded a new one... we then had a super smooth run with the pool.... at least that was smooth considering the house has not been a smooth run. I would recommend this company, its a well known large pool builder and to be honest its all been too easy with the SS we had. Even all the trades have been excellent. I am looking forward to seeing the pebble acid washed.. that pic it still has the concrete grime on it. Gogo.. we too cannot wait... next is the outside of the pool which we are getting measured up on Friday and should be done within two weeks if we are lucky. This is the look we are after...
