Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Mar 06, 2012 7:15 pm I know this is probably a stupid question but I am curious as to how they get the machines in to dig your hole and install your pool if your house is already built and there is no side access? thanks for any info Re: Stupid pool installation question? 2Mar 06, 2012 9:09 pm there are a few options. each site is assessed to which is appropriate & cost effective taking into account things such as size of hole , soil needs to be removed, . excavators are available as narrow as 770mm wide which will fit through a standard door. hand digs & using a conveyor belt to carry dirt to bin is also common. a more expensive option is to crane a machine over house & use same crane all day lifting dirt over house to awaiting tipper then lifting machine back when finished. sometimes the most cost effective method we use is to hand dig hole & fit pool partially out of ground & spread dirt around pool to level out the area. when pool shell is lifted in with either a crane or helicopter other materials such as decking backfill & pavers can be lifted as well link below is a tight access job we did cheers andrew http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvs8sm3Mcjg with this one we made the planter boxes behind wall & put all the dirt in there http://www.swimspaplungepool.com.au/wpi ... _05_06.jpg I need to replace the worn mohair seal on my sliding window, but I can't get access to the end to slide the old one out & push the new one in. I could probably rip the old… 0 5190 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors.
