Solar blanket for summer and hopefully a dedicated pool cover for winter. pool in a liner type but fully inground Cheers Dean Re: heat pump 4Jan 30, 2012 5:31 pm the minimum size you would require is a 16kw . this will take apx 48hrs to get pool from 2o to 3o degrees with a average ambient temp of 18deg. other end of the scale a 4o kw 3 ph unit will heat in same conditions in about 12 hrs these estimates are based on nothing but experience when checking specs look for testing temp for water & ambient at 2o deg. look for cop of 5 plus i used a 6okw unit on a 12m lap pool in melbourne which heats in about 14 hrs without a cover the biggest problem is the cost of the heat pump but maybe you can get one for the right price. hope this helps Re: heat pump 5Jan 31, 2012 8:43 am Thanks will keep all this in mind i did have a chance to purchase a bowman electric pool heater 30 KW but nearly fell over when looked at specs 42 amps per phase current draw. Cheers dean There may be answers here but can't find anything. I have a closed in veranda, four windows. North facing, just had sunblock blinds installed. A bit cooler (actually… 0 2983 |
