Browse Forums Pools & Spas Re: Inground concrete pool quote 21Apr 29, 2013 10:20 am I know some of these posts are old but i thought i would throw my 2 cents in for those that may still have some questions. We built our pool with a company in Blaxland called Better Pools and Spas. Although hesitant at first being that we live in the Northern Beaches and the builders office was in the Blue Mountains we soon learnt they build pools all over NSW and the distance to our site was nothing compared to most others. They were really good service wise and we are stoked with the final product. We built in time for last summer and i think all up it was about 10-11 weeks for everything to be finished. We got a 7 x 3.5 and spent 31K all up including fees, plans, drawings and fencing and we had several "upgrades" that pushed the price to this but all of which were my own decision. We upgraded our coping to travertine and got a superior finish on the inside of the pool as we wanted a specific water colour. I would recommed them and although they may not necessarily be the cheapest they are certainly competitive with their pricing and there were no hidden costs which was a huge bonus for us! This is really helpful, and timely for me as I am collecting pool quotes, for a similar sized pool! Many thanks..! D We had better pools quote for us, I didn't like the salesman at all, comes in thinking he had the job, when I asked about some extra costs like soil removal laying travertine etc, he became a bit rude and cagey and all of a sudden all these costs couldn't evn be estimated. Every other quote we had they were upfront about additional costs, would never recommend them. PS Doohan this poster has only one post, most likely someone working for them I on the other hand say it how it is Re: Inground concrete pool quote 24May 09, 2013 2:29 pm Gogo, I agree. I did contact them, they came out more expensive. We have a "special" site that needs some thought, and they just did a plain vanilla quote. Was very frustrating. I will not be working with them. I am currently tossing up PAcific Pools and FreeStyle Pools, and am trying to develop some workable concepts with them. If you have any other recommendations, I will be keen to get in touch. BTW: We are finalising our build with Zen. I actually met your husband at the start of December.... I may have door knocked the house as I had 1 day to do some DD on them! I think I interrupted his wheelbarrowing... D Re: Inground concrete pool quote 25May 16, 2013 1:48 pm Hey doohan I remember DH saying someone dropped in you should have been pushy and asked to see inside!! I wouldn't recommend our pool builder, in hindsight however we wished we went with Sydney pools and spas, an older guy been in the business for yours, seems well respected and reasonable quote. Good luck with your build!! Re: Inground concrete pool quote 26May 17, 2013 9:09 pm hahaha Gogo, I was struggling to plick up the courage to even knock and ask some questions....I didnt want to impose! We're getting close to a zen sign-off.... so hopefully we will be good to go. Pool, however, is a problem! hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20911 |
