Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 May 18, 2010 7:35 pm Hi, We are wanting to put in a pool for our new build. I would love to put in a inground cement or fibreglass pool but I have a budget of about $35k. Is this realistic or am I dreaming. I am in Geelong in Victoria. I guess the other option is to put a aboveground pool in the ground, It is not as nice though. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks..........Mark Re: Can I get 8 x 4 Inground pool Installed for $35k in Vict 2May 20, 2010 3:57 pm House-to-be did an in ground fibreglass pool for about that. I'm sure it included fencing and I think it included landscaping, which they DIY-ed. She's not around much at the moment, she has a sick husband to look after, but I'm sure there are some posts here with details... I'll have a look. THe deep end is 1.9 metres deep, and the pool has a swimout along the 8.5 length. Fully tiled it is costing me around the 36k mark. THis doesn't include pool fence or cover, but the swimout is probably worth $1500-$2000 extra and the tiling probably cost about $3 or $4k over a standard quartzon finish with waterline tiles. Doing it yourself, you should be able to build a concrete pool of that size for around the $30k mark. I will look into these kit pools a bit more. I think doing it myself is well above my skill level. I only just worked out how to use a hammer.
