Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Feb 08, 2010 12:50 pm Hi Folks, sorry if this has come up before, I wanted to know if a pool could be put in when it encroaches on a setback? It is a council setback requirement of 5 metres in our back yard. It isn't an easement. That is also there but the stormwater and sewerage pipes are on a 3m easement but the council has stipulated a total 5 metre setback. I want to use some of that 2m between the easement and setback for one side of the pool. Anybody come across this? Would council allow that sort of an encroachment? Thanks.
