Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Nov 22, 2009 8:53 pm Hi All Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea on the cost of a lap pool 2.5mt x 15mt. We are in Perth. Have looked at all the fibreglass pool companies and none have anything as narrow as 2.5mt, so it will have to be concrete. Thanks heaps Caz Re: Cost of lap pool 2Nov 22, 2009 9:01 pm Shack - It depends on the finish that you want... There are many... probably half the cost is the finish if that make sense. My quotes came in at about $19 000. We are in QLD.. but i'm sure you could find something around you. I don't know what the minimum width was though.. I think our quote was for a 3m wide pool. Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Cost of lap pool 8Dec 24, 2009 1:30 am I think it is worth while I say from my experience and my areas climate the effect from the earth contact with ponds, for eg. helps to moderate the temp the deeper the are inset. (buried) The plastic fish tank, 3m Dia x 1.5m deep I have above ground would fluctuate heaps during the day16 -26 . But the 3 x 8000ltr inground are 20c pretty constant (same as the ocean) They grow good fish in the winter true That was a side comment only Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Cost of lap pool 9Jan 01, 2010 7:30 pm Thanks everyone for your responses. Sorry i havent answered but have been having problems with our internet. I have changed my mind again lol I think we can fit a small pool in a different area and it can be fibreglass. Heaps cheaper. I forgot to ask the sales guy how close to the fence can we go with f/g and also the house. Does anyone know. Thanks heaps. Caz Re: Cost of lap pool 10Jan 01, 2010 8:04 pm I believe the depth of the pool is the distance away from the pool at the deepest point. If thats makes sense. Doing our research into this at the moment. Minimum concrete pool/spa cost is roughly $15k upwards all depends on size thereafter.....oh and how much advertising or what retail space they pay for. Re: Cost of lap pool 11Jan 02, 2010 9:09 am rule of thumb is depth of pool away from house. you can get around this with fibreglass pools have a taper so as they go down water moves away from house. also pool can be slightly raised thus changing depth from ground level. you can generally get approval to have pool as close as 300mm from a fence providing there isnt a stricture close to other side of the fence. a water feature mounted to fence looks fantastic cheers andrew Re: Cost of lap pool 12Jan 03, 2010 8:37 pm Hi All Spent the day investigating and talking to pool companies. We are back to concrete again as we cant go closer then a metre to the fence. But with a concrete pool we have been told we can use the boundary line as side wall of pool. Hope that is correct. So we are back to concrete again. Just wondering if anyone knows a concrete pool company. Personally, i think the likes of bucaneer, aquatechnics etc you are paying extra because of the pretty display pools. Am i right in thinking this? If anyone can supply a name that would be great. Not sure of forum rules but if not allowed could you please pm me. We want a pool approx 6m x 3mts. If any of our forum members build pools and read this, please also feel free to make contact. Many Thanks caz Re: Cost of lap pool 13Jan 03, 2010 9:00 pm G'day shack, What finish are you after? Onc Where you are coming from is where you are going to...
