I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Path allowance around a pool? 4Nov 19, 2009 8:26 am Bam, on the fence side of our pool it's only 600mm - fits two 300mm pavers nicely We have 1m from the pool to the fence (council minimum) 600mm of paving and 400mm for hedge/garden bed. 600mm is plenty enough to walk along down this side but you'd probably want more on the house side of the pool, we have 2m opposite. Happy at Home Re: Path allowance around a pool? 6Nov 19, 2009 9:26 am SuH, your backyard/pool area is just lovely. Love your pavers Happy at Home Re: Path allowance around a pool? 7Nov 19, 2009 12:16 pm We love our backyard to death it has so many different colours and textures. The pavers have one drawback, they are travertine so have little holes throughout which is attracting moss, but nothing a water blaster won't fix. Re: Path allowance around a pool? 8Nov 19, 2009 2:44 pm SuH your pool are is stunning! HTB, I didnt reaise it was 1m minimum to the fence - I dont think some of the dispay homes had 1m? Thats aright, we should be fine with that. I was thinking we'd need around 900-1000mm on either side as our pool is fitting in between two walls of the house - our study/ensuite and the family room wall ... I might post a pic when I get home to explain Toni, I might take you up on the offer to come and see We'll need to work out when we're both free Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! That top corner are both bifold doors... are we supposed to run the fence in front of the bifolds right to the other wall? This will eat space and look silly? ETA Never mind! We sat down and worked it out!! We are having 1m clearance from the boundary fence (we might look for a water feature for this spot) and 1m clearance from the house walls, and 90cm clearance from the bifold doors. The glass fence will run as close to the pool as allowed, in front of the bifolds when they are open. How does that sound??? Re: Path allowance around a pool? 13Nov 20, 2009 1:56 pm Every time i see your pool SuH........ sooo lovely. I was going to add, that some councils require a specific distance to be paved/clear around the pool. For our pool we had to have minimum 900mm so that there was adequite space for "Resuscitation" if needed. The pool will look great Bam, especially with the gorgeous bi-fold doors!. Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build. We are required to have a concrete path… 0 12875 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3687 |
