Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Jun 26, 2022 10:11 pm Hi everyone, Just had a in ground fibreglass pool installed, haven't even swam in it yet, stepped on the back step and noticed in was "drumy" with nothing solid underneath. Proceeded to look down and noticed a large bulgde underneath the step. Which leads me to believe the pool builder has failed to apply adequate compaction while installing. They also drained the pool and to my knowledge didn't brace it while doing so! My concern moving forward is that now there is a cavity behind the shell wall, which means water could get into there and continue to cause further bulging! The whole thing is causing a lot stress. What is my best move, going forward here? Should I be demanding the pool be pulled back out? It's had the ring slab gone down and has been tiled Thanks heaps Re: Bulgde in fibreglass pool 2Jun 26, 2022 10:37 pm Have you spoken with your pool builder and let them know your concerns?
