Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Feb 02, 2021 1:37 pm First time poster and have found other responses on this forum helpful. I'm researching glass pool fencing; will end up with fully enclosed pool area, For two sides will use fully frameless glass (at 1200mm high) with spigots chemset into concrete covered with natural stone pavers. Due to Non- climb zone requirements on the other 2 sides I will likely need to increase the pool fence height to 1800mm; my query is can Glass pool fencing be used at 1800mm high? I am doubtful that it can be used with spigots, but are Semi-frameless posts able to be used with an 1800mm high glass panel? Or is this a pipe dream and should just stick with aluminium for the 1800mm high parts of the fence? I have looked for specifications from manufacturers but cant seem to find anything about panel height in testing. Any help would be great. Ando Re: Glass Pool Fence help 2Feb 02, 2021 3:57 pm Hey I can't help with glass height but if you need an alternative, I'd recommend considering PVC panel fencing. Its cheaper then aluminium, looks way better, wont rust, rot etc. Easy to do as well - I did mine by myself having never done it before. Its big in the US but hasn't really hit Australia yet. I get heaps of comments about how good it looks. I'd just hate to see an ugly colorbond or aluminium post fence next to glass. Approvals are covered in the cost we are paying to the pool company. The only thing stated in our home build contract for the additional cost is engineering support. … 3 7109 Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that.
