Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Nov 29, 2020 11:49 am I really want a pool in my backyard. I have a HUGE yard so finding a spot isn't an issue. Accessing my yard is the issue. I have neighbours on both sides and the only way in my yard is from one pedestrian gate on the side of my house. There is also no way in from the neighbours sides either so no point in asking them either. What are my options with this? I was hoping for an above ground pool but I honestly can't see how on earth they can get it in there. But I've never done this type of thing before so was hoping to hear from anyone who has had a pool installed when you had very little access to the yard in question. Re: Accessing Back Yard for Pool 2Nov 29, 2020 3:28 pm Talk to pool guys. They could potentially crane it in over your house depending on power lines etc but will be expensive Re: Accessing Back Yard for Pool 3Nov 29, 2020 5:01 pm THanks, doubt we could crane it as we have a two story house and a retaining wall at back of house before getting to the yard. But I've made some enquieries and will see how we go. I could possibly see if the neighbour would allow some access which would let us take down the fence panels to get something in but they aren't the easiest or nicest people do deal with unfortunately. Could also possibly take out our gate and panels which would mean uprooting a post which is concreted in and replacing it. Small price to pay if what they need in there could fit thru that gap. Re: Accessing Back Yard for Pool 4Nov 29, 2020 5:41 pm A pool almost any where is possible , just he cost increases with level of difficulty What width is the access available .? What is the distance from where a crane can set up to centre of pool .? Do you have power lines in front of house ? There are pool builders who specialise in tight access excavations . As a general rule excavators can access 720mm Sometimes we take it through the house and use a conveyer belt or fill 1ton bags and crane out . Cheers can someone with more experience give me their insight? land is pretty much flat its pretty much at the top of a hill. left and right neighbours are flat in line with my… 0 7466 2 4385 there should be ss cable so you can pull up bore pump for service 1 3147 |
