Waiting on the deck next to pool to start, water feature still to be done, pool fences and need to get security window screens. Got everything crossed for it to be done by early December Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Pool build underway....finally! 22Oct 31, 2014 11:11 am Have you got the pool pump yet ? The pool builder are supplying the pump and I doubt very much it would be something that would save us money! I will check though, thanks for the tip. housebythewater Looks swish! We are nearly finished a very similar pool to yours and just curious. The skimmer box is next to the water feature, the tiling guys made a tile in the shape of the box so you can't see it in those pictures. Once the pool builder comes back to complete the job they'll remove the tile and put the skimmer box in. I would love to host my daughter's 11th birthday party on 6th December.....will it be ready???!!! Got everything crossed. The deck should be complete this week, followed closely by the glass fencing (installed on the edge of the deck from the back door to the back fence) and the black pool fencing (plus the plumber will come in and fit the pump). Once all that is done, apparently the pool builder get council in to signoff on regulations, then the PB comes in and completes the interior..phew http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/IMG_3417_zpsa802fbc7.jpg http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/IMG_3424_zps8eaf965b.jpg http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/IMG_3416_zps6a68a8fc.jpg http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/IMG_3423_zps849cefdc.jpg Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Pool build underway....finally! 28Nov 05, 2014 8:42 pm Fingers crossed! http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Pool build underway....finally! 29Nov 25, 2014 1:08 pm Bit of an update. We have had all of the paving completed and our deck has also been built. It looks fabulous! The waterline tiles and most of the water feature stackstone has been done as well. Now here comes the clincher....we were told by blue haven that handover would happen two weeks after the fence inspection, that happened on 18th November. After four days of nothing, we called and were told 'oh no, I have no control over the guys that do the lining, definitely booked in, but could be three weeks and that depends on what area you're in' I had specifically asked our build supervisor when it would be complete as my daughters' birthday party (pool party) was going to happen on December 6th. Nope, they just tell you what you want to hear then do the complete opposite. I am so over this build, cannot wait for it to be complete. I have also called, left a message, and sent an email to the owner asking for an explanation - that was on Friday 21st, still haven't heard a thing. Rubbish customer service. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. Hopefully the next ones I put up are of a pool with kids swimming in it. http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/poolwithfence_zps72913475.jpg http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/FullSizeRender_zps5bbc911f.jpg Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Pool build underway....finally! 30Nov 26, 2014 4:46 am Decking + pool = perfection! Hmmm...good idea! They have a nice big 'showroom' with lots of pools Topharin Wow that looks amazing already. Thank you! Still having issues, got another email (very impersonal one at that) stating that it's very busy and we may not get to your lining before Christmas day That didn't go down well. I sent off a fairly scathing response and did get a placatory email with a promise of a phone call to update me tomorrow....I hope I get that phone call. I'm concerned now that the weather will be the issue Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Pool build underway....finally! 38Dec 12, 2014 7:44 am WizardofOz I'm concerned now that the weather will be the issue The weather shouldn't affect them doing the interior. They actually did our quartzon interior on a rainy day while working under a big tarp they brought with them. It's basically a quick drying render material, so it's worked on while it's wet anyway - they started filling the pool the minute they finished the interior, so a bit of rain won't hurt at all. Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Pool build underway....finally! 40Dec 17, 2014 7:18 pm So....after much back and forth (read me being a very, very squeaky wheel) we finally have a result. I am not a whinger nor a squeaky wheel by any stretch of the imagination usually, however this whole process has left me spent. Maybe I am naïve, but I have NO IDEA of the process of building a pool, so being told what has to happen or what will happen AFTER the fact constantly throughout this process has been incredibly infuriating. The interior contractors that did our pebblecrete today were amazingly efficient. There were here at 6am and were done by 1pm. They came back at 5pm to acid wash and put the hose in. ONE DAY!! It took just one day..... http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/beginning1_zps43b3a30f.jpg http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/beginning3_zps5ccf5496.jpg Count them...yes, there were 5 of them! http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah4/kells_bells1/beginning2_zpsd0a9605d.jpg The hose goes in!
