Hi everyone
Would love recommendations or feedback on which is better? We prefer the look of a tiled concrete pool but have read they are harder to maintain? Any feedback will be great!
Thanks.

Yeah, it’s not so much about budget as prices are fairly comparable with what we want (pool with a built in spa). Concrete gives us the flexibility. Main reservations are that we haven’t had much experience with tiled concrete pools and currently live remotely so won’t get the chance to look at many to help our decision. We want to know what the traps are (eg, are they OK to maintain) and make sure people are happy with the product they got. Do you have any pics to share? This is in melbourne and a lot of the pool builders are busy for the next 6 months. I am now starting to consider a plungie pool. Re: Fibreglass v Concrete pool 7Jan 13, 2023 1:55 pm One of the biggest differences is concrete pools are colder due to their thermal mass and require greater heating for use. Also take a look at some tiled pools that are a few years old and look at the grout in the tiles and that will tell you the long term maintenance that will be required. There seems to be a notion that concrete pools are far superior but fibreglass pools have come a long way and if you do the surrounds right with drop face pavers they look as good as concrete and by far less long term maintenance. Also consider in-floor cleaning if you really want a hassle free pool Hi everyone, Looking for some advise. We are about to build an above ground pool in our backyard. There is a private sewer line running under the pool at 1.6m… 0 12766 |
