Sorry to interrupt the the thread but is anyone prepared to share their budget and pool size? Also I have no idea when it comes to pools are concrete ones better than than fibreglass (?) or other options. My wife isn't keen on the idea but I'd like something say 3by6m or 4by8m.
Our build is 3.5 x 7.0m, and includes everything other than electrical connection and supply of coping and waterline tiles - so it includes excavation and carting to dump, concreting, solar heating, automated cleaner, semi frameless glass fencing, laying of coping and pavers, laying of waterline tiles, plumbing and connection to sewer, temporary fence hire, LED lighting, pump/filter etc. All up we're looking at roughly $60k for that.
Fibreglass will be cheaper than concrete, but only if the pool shell can be delivered to your site without having to hire a crane large enough to lift the shell a large distance, for example, over the top of either yours or your neighbour's house - big cranes are expensive to hire, plus there is additional insurance needed in case there is damage to a house over which the shell is being lifted.
