Indeed I do...off to look at more olive green colours for my splashback Yiipppeeeeee Mrs B Re: help needed - splashback colour 63Aug 29, 2008 6:01 pm Hi everyone.
I went to a tile place today and picked up this tile.....what do you think, better than the glass splashback?. The tile has flecks in it that matches the colours in my bench top. It comes in the size shown or a 300x600mm. your thoughts would be great! I'm going to be a party pooper but I dont like the tile. I think any coloured glass splashback will look fantastic Mrs B Re: help needed - splashback colour 65Aug 29, 2008 8:13 pm I was browsing the net for splashback colours and found this wood interactive kitchen Rachael. Great ideas for colours. The red based colours look really nice with wood.
http://www.colourglass.ie/tour.php?section=2 I personally love the ruby red as a colour for my kitchen splasback...seen that colour used in magazines. Mrs B Re: help needed - splashback colour 66Aug 29, 2008 10:00 pm hi rachael, the tile looks very big & I don't think the area your working with. You will need a lot of part tiles which will make the area look very busy.
sorry not a fan of the tile I did c on the tv today a kitchen advert with a timber kitchen/black bench top & Black Splash back which did look good. I would still b an advocate for white but black as an opt enjoy Re: help needed - splashback colour 67Aug 29, 2008 10:12 pm OK I'll put the tile on the florr instead it was just a thought
For some added information: my wall colour throughout the house are very close to the colour crewelwork ( by dulux ) and I painted some glass today in the dulux colour Chalk USA. Must admit I actually said "yeah I think I like that!". Ok I know Im edging on the cautious side but ..................... What do you reckon people! Re: help needed - splashback colour 69Aug 29, 2008 10:23 pm thanks Paula, you guys have been very patient with me, I really appreciate it!.
Ive kept putting the glass guy off, telling him I still havent decided on a colour..........he is also very patient Re: help needed - splashback colour 71Aug 30, 2008 9:30 pm rachel I've looked through the post and think the one that Mish posted is DEFINITELY the best. The grape colour works well with the wood and the benchtop IMO.
good luck it is a hard decision. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3268 |
