Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Jul 28, 2013 9:30 am Hi everyone, have been reading all of the great advice given on this forum so I'm reaching out for help too. We are doing a kitchen renovation, going with Blackbutt timber floors, Quantum Quartz "New Diamond White" bench tops & white 2pack doors (handless doors & drawers) & an undermount sin & new stainless steel appliances. I am struggling to pick a splashback colour and I do want to keep the kitchen neutral as we may sell in next 5 years. Only one splashback area behind cooktop and is approximately 1.5m. Whatever colour we select will also be the colour of cupboard under breakfast bar facing family room (as a feature) Considering DULUX Bogart but would love any suggestions Cheers Re: Splashback colour HELP 2Jul 28, 2013 9:33 am I build kitchens for a living and am used to having customers give me the colours they want so when it came to choosing the colour of my own splash back I struggled. I went to my local bunnings and got a couple of sample pots of paint in the colours I liked. I then painted the wall the entire length of the splashback and then lived with it for a week. I did this twice before I was happy with the colour. Unfortunately stainless steel is out. Husband not a fan. Bought a test pot of Dulux Bogart and painted the areas that are to be glass splashback. Not really liking the colour - way too dark. I actually saw Dulux Bogart in a kitchen magazine with benchtops, cupboards and floor almost identical to what we have picked and in the magazine it looked awesome (and nothing like my the colour I'm testing on my wall). Back to the colour charts and magazines looking for more ideas... Re: Splashback colour HELP 6Jul 30, 2013 4:48 pm Best colour is white. Bright colours go out of fashion very quick. I install splashbacks for a living and the amount of customers that have called me back asking how hard it is to change the colour. Be wise and think for the long term. Sent from iPhone using Tapatalk Thankyou so much ๐ I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK ๐ 2 7157 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3258 |
