Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Jun 11, 2013 4:38 pm Hi, Just wondering if anyone had colour ideas for our spashback. If someone was able to add the colour to the photo that would be great. The walls are 1/4 Buff It and the benchtop is QQ Polar. I'm not sure which white the cupboards are. You can just get a glimpse of the tiles - a darker browny grey colour I was thinking of just going full strength Buff It, which is the colour card leaning on the wall but was concerned about it just looking a bit 'blah'. The darker colour card is one of the metallics (not sure which one) but it seems a bit too warm eta photo Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ thanks Re: Splashback colour help - pic included 3Jun 11, 2013 8:56 pm I agree with Dan. Any colour would do. On the other hand, you seem to have grey floors and a blue colourbond fence in the background, so perhaps one of those, or a green to match the greenery in the garden? I wouldn't go with the reds on your table, as it would clash with every other colour I can see (and I positively love red over any other colour in most contexts). Re: Splashback colour help - pic included 4Jun 11, 2013 9:00 pm Come to think of it, why not go with a brushed stainless plate instead of painted glass? It will not only match the rest of your stainless hardware, but it will take the colours/hues of the surroundings and change depending on seasons and light? Re: Splashback colour help - pic included 5Jun 11, 2013 9:23 pm Have a look at this visualiser. Click here for some colour ideas. Re: Splashback colour help - pic included 6Jun 11, 2013 9:42 pm thanks for the replies. We hadn't considered stainless. The glass was included with our kitchen build and the guy has already been to measure 1 week ago, so we will have to do glass now. Although the kitchen is white, the Buff It 1/4 is a warm creamy beige colour (it does look whitish in the photo though). When I put blue or green next to it, it just looks wrong. Don't worry the red samples were actually for our front door. Yes the outside of our house is a blue/grey colour - Dulux Tinker. That is a Deep Ocean shed you can see. Oh I just found Dulux Mocha Pearl colour and it has a similar RGB ratio to Buff It Re: Splashback colour help - pic included 7Jun 11, 2013 9:54 pm What colour are your window treatments? Did you match or contrast them to the tiles? If it were me, I'd either match it and use it to write a quote on or something similar, to brighten it up, or contrast it to match the window coverings and hope I don't want to change it in a few years ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! I failed to add 5 pics but any warm and bright green, blue, yellow or orange. And deep wine coloured will fit as well.
