There are a lot available at the moment. For me….to much grout, = to much cleaning. But there are some stunning colours out now. Have you looked at the glass mosaics? I'd love to see it next to a white kitchen to get an idea..off to google
DH is still keen on the red, hmmm decisions decisions - both are great maybe we could do a coin toss? DH has also thrown in the idea of a greeney/grey.....My head is starting to hurt... Re: What colour splashback... 40Mar 21, 2008 7:20 pm Hi Haywgl,
Don't know if you have made any decisions yet, but thought this might help. This is our "unfinished" and unorganised kitchen. Ignore the mess, I just ran out and took a photo just then. Ignore the sheet hanging from the window too, still trying to find a blind the right size!!! Not the best photo, doesn't really do it justice. It's all white. We haven't got handles on anything yet (husband has got them in though, they are the white things wrapped up on top of the benchtop) and they will be brushed stainless steel, all our appliances except for the fridge are stainless steel. All of the drawers/cupboards are completley white. The benchtop that is there at the moment is just a temporary one that husband made up while we are waiting to decide/agree on a proper one, just getting quotes back on caesar, but whatever we go for, it will be as white as possible. The splashback is actually just paint. I bought a test pot of chocolate coloured paint because husband can't organise the splashback until the benchtop is in, so I figured in the meantime, I would paint where it will go so we could live with the colour for a while and decide (plus it covered up the bare gyprock with the electricians writing all over it!). Everyone comments on how good the splashback looks and don't realise it's just paint for now. We are going to go with the chocolate colour, it breaks up the white, and matches the rest of the house's colour scheme. Anyway, hope this helps! Oh, and I love the idea of a deep bright red too! Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7157 Hi - thanks for your reply. Yes I think 'Ill go for whitish with very speckly bits rather than pure white something like this.
