Hi,
I'm in the process of building a house and have included a window splashback as a feature in the open plan kitchen / living area.
We've got the caesar stone being cut so it meets the window glass at the bench level, and had assumed that the vertical reveals (at left and right ends of the window) and top reveal (near the rangehood, high cupboards) would be covered by hardened glass. There is a 5cm indent from the wall to the glass, so 5cm wide glass strip on the two sides and top would be required. Presumably with an aluminium cover over the join. Maybe we just extend this idea and put aluminium over theses areas?
Our builder has today said they don't do this, and recommend we do this after handover.

For those here with window splashbacks, what do you do with the "reveals"? I don't want to leave it just painted, as this will be hard to clean and will probably be quickly stained by kitchen grease and splatter.
If I organise it myself after handover, should I be talking to a glasier or a cabinetmaker?
Cheers,
Mick.
