Hi all, looking for some advice. My builder is telling me that they can't do a smokey mirror splash-back in my kitchen that runs the entire length of the planned kitchen wall because those types of mirrors are not heat resistant. In other words, they'd have to break up the mirror so that it's only placed on either side of the cook top (which is what we definitely don't want). I thought toughened glass, regardless of the colour they paint the backing, would be treated for heat considering where it's being placed/used. Anyways, I want to basically know whether the problem is with the supplier my builder is using, or the type of mirror we are asking for is in fact not heat resistance (regardless of supplier)? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, as an FYI, our splash-back spans a length of roughly 4m. Does anyone know if mirrors this long can be supplied?
