Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks Re: Glass splash backs 21Apr 09, 2011 6:22 pm Jo good pic! I forgot you had Army Issue as your splashback! If anything from me posting this topic it has made people aware of the 2 types of glass you can use. I quite like the green tint glass on its own with no paint colour behind it. But I like greens, so again a personal choice. We have just been told it would have been an extra 20% which I would of happily paid to get the colour I actually ordered!! Sorry to hear that Rizzo Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Glass splash backs 24Apr 09, 2011 9:26 pm Michelle Don’t worry hparis, I would imagine as soon as you mention putting a paint colour on the back your kitchen supplier would quote you the clear glass. hmmm well i hope its clear glass... When we did our colour selections we were just handed a Dulux colour fan and told to choose any colour we wanted off that... Its getting installed next week and i havent been informed of any additional costs... Glass splashback was included in our package but no mention of type of glass or options available... Re: Glass splash backs 25Apr 10, 2011 9:52 am Joles- Thanks heaps for sharing your pic. Your splashback looks lovely! The one thing I didn't mention is that in my house we have already painted a large adjacent wall in "linseed" and I'm obviously quite keen to ensure everything works together really well. (pics are on page 16 of my building thread if you're interested) It looks like the colour of your splashback would tone in quite well but it just seems to make more sense to have linseed on starfire glass to get it as close as possible to the adjacent wall colour rather than introduce another colour. We have already had a sample made up in linseed on starfire glass (You can see it sitting on the bench in the most recent photos in my building thread) and I love it it. I was just curious to see how it might look on regular glass. I think we'll just end up playing it safe and go for the linseed on starfire because at least I've got a sample of that so I know how it is going to look! Re: Glass splash backs 26Apr 12, 2011 4:47 pm We are building soon and have gone with Dulux Arava on starphire glass. Does anyone have any photos of what this will look like? I saw some posts from a long time ago of the Urban Mocha Porter Davis kitchen, which I just love. The only thing is I am not sure if that was on clear or starphire glass. Maybe someone can help me?? Well our splashback was installed yesterday and I had a ** look at the contracter's paperwork and it turns out it has been done on Starfire glass... Tried linking the pic but it didnt work so just click here! It's SOOOOOOOO pretty! I love it Re: Glass splash backs 28Apr 24, 2011 7:49 pm Interesting topic here....I am amazed some builders do not point out the difference between the natural and the purely clear glass.. Every time we went to our colour selection site (hopetoun interiors) it was pointed out to us that there is a difference. It didn't matter if we were just browsing or doing our official ordering of colours, they told us each time. They even have both glasses on display just so you can see exactly what that difference is. They also display a range of colours behind both glasses, from light to dark. Sounds like a thumbs up gor hopetoun thankfully as I would not have known till it was too late too Our Bondi Greenwall was impressive from day one with advanced lush plants to provide a wow factor to this recently renovated living area. The boundary was less than 1… 0 15303 Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that. Thank you 0 39039 |
