I was worried it would be too green but it turned out pretty well and goes well with the goldy bronzy flecks in the granite. It has been a long process but the idea of painting a number of colours on the bare wall was well worth the $50 it cost for sample pots and A4 sheets of many shades. When we first painted this colour our initial reaction was "NOOOOO" but after seeing it a few times it really grew on us. Re: Show Us Your Splashback 312Dec 24, 2012 2:23 pm our glass splashback in the pantry and kitchen will be the starfire dulux harbour blue http://www.dulux.com.au/search/search-r ... our%20blue with the essa stone white truffle bench tops and waterfall ends and for the cabinet doors zincworks in the island bench back it will be new graphite there will also be a feature wall in harbour blue in the meals area Re: Show Us Your Splashback 313Feb 04, 2013 10:26 pm Some fabulous splashbacks in this thread. I would love some advice please. Trying to determine if we should have the splashback continue up the wall behind the rangehood or just run straight all in line with the cupboards - 700mm high (between bench and overhead cupboards.) We have chosen Dulux Mangrove Leaf (Green) - as seen on someone elses splashback (apologies I can't remember whose). This colour is quite bright, so thinking that if it went up behind the rangehood, is it too much. Therefore should we just paint there. Cupboards - White laminate Benchtop - Essa Stone Crystal Chalk (similar to Caesar Osprey) Wall colour - Wattyl Alabaster This image here is the display home kitchen we are building. We don't have the window and we are not have the slide out range hood with cupboards. Note that there will also be green splashback on other wall next to pantry door. This is the image of Mangrove Leaf used in another kitchen. This image is very similar to how our kitchen will look. Thanks for your advice - I have to choose by this Friday. What kind of rangehood are you having? The painted wall looks ok, as long as it's the same colour as the cupboards. I think if you take the splashback up, your rangehood will become more of a feature. Re: Show Us Your Splashback 317Feb 05, 2013 2:09 pm Hi Suh Here are our kitchen colour selections below. Wall colour is Wattyl Alabaster (the whitish paper in the picture with nothing written on it) - cool white, not too far off the colour of the cupboards. NB: silver strip is being used as kick plate. The Rangehood is Blanco - shown here: acrebuild111 - are you happy with your splashback all the way behind your rangehood? You have a lovely strong colour. Re: Show Us Your Splashback 319Feb 05, 2013 3:39 pm This is what I would do, if not glassed all the way up I think one colour across the top looks best Here are some strong colours that don't look too much at all Yours is a beautiful green, I don't think it's too bright and with that rangehood against it, it will look amazing Disclaimer: this is only my opinion 1 5037 You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
