After all the dramas you've had with your land, your house is now shaping up very very nice. I cant believe you have some bricks already where ours is still piled up from last month. Looking forward for more progress. JR Re: Red Splashback...??? 33Jul 26, 2010 12:42 pm Is it too late - have you decided? We just installed a red glass splashback and it's awesome. Ceasarstone Latte benchtop, and Antique White cabinets. The red is Dulux Mars Red. I'm ne to this but will try to upload a photo. Re: Red Splashback...??? 35Jul 26, 2010 8:33 pm I'm a neutral kinda gal with touches of colour that can be easily replaced to something different when you change your mind! A lot of it depends on what type of home and decorating style you are trying to achieve. A red splashback would look so absolutely wrong in my house, as it's very neutral and in a fairly traditional style. BUT, red looks fabulous if you are creating a contemporary feel in your home...just like Mrs B's...looks amazing! Even if I did build a contemporary home, I still probably wouldn't go for red as it's not really a colour I MUST have...apart from my red shiny handbag! I have used blue, black, white, leaf green and dusty pink as accent colours, although there is red in my son's bedroom...but that's a bit different!! ultimately, it's a desicion you have to make yourself! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Ever wondered why all those fast food places have a lot of red in them??? I’m restoring all my 40yr old windows and I want to install seals around the casements. I’ve sanded back and oiled the frames with sikkens. My plan is to box up inside… 0 6522 |
