Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Feb 08, 2010 3:03 pm I've heard people say they have had minimal grout used when getting their kitchen splashbacks tiled, to the point you can hardly see a grout line. What width would this be? I was told in the tile shop the smallest legal size that can be done is 1.5mm... but even then that is fairly noticeable. I am sure I have seen people here with smaller grout gaps than that? Do I have to find a tiler who will do it even though it isn't "legal"? The tiles I may be choosing are 300x600 white gloss tiles, that have flat squarish edges (ie. they don't round at the edges) which I heard was better for using miminal grout. I really really don't want much grout, I want as seamless a look as I can get with tiles (as I am not a huge fan of tiled splashbacks, but the budget demands that is all I can have!) Please advise me on what to do, I'm absolutely clueless!! And if anyone can recommend a tiler who can do minimal grout in Perth, please pass on their details!
