Re: Second guessing splashback colour 86Aug 24, 2009 8:18 pm themax Oh bel, you're not just a pretty face! That looks great. WHat do you think MagicJ? Loving it more every minute!!! Thanks, Monaclare!! Not feeling so alone now!! That looks a bit like the colour I used to have in Melbourne. I had a bluey Wilsonart laminate benchtop though, so it didn't "pop" as much as that one. White kitchens always make colours "pop", don't they? DH was not keen on a pale benchtop though . Re: Second guessing splashback colour 87Aug 25, 2009 9:09 pm Just back from looking at Salt and Pepper's thread and drooling over their fantastic splashback, AGAIN!! It's AWESOME!!! Now THAT'S the "wow" factor I would love, only in blue!!! Congratulations again, Salt and Pepper!!! Re: Second guessing splashback colour 89Aug 25, 2009 9:23 pm My very bad monitor shows that as a bit green, SuH!!! Don't even know if our splashback person does metallic glass splashbacks (living in Tassie, who knows? ) - our kitchen place is organising it all for us. It must be good getting to exercise your creative side by helping other people, without any stress, knowing that you did a fabulous job on your own and it's all sorted now!!! Lucky, lucky you!!! Yep, it does have a bit of green in it....I'm probably not really helping by putting gorgeous colours on that I was too chicken to use myself I would love to have a weekender to use that colour in, one near the beach preferably if my DH didn't insist on red in the bar I would have used that in a flash Re: Second guessing splashback colour 91Aug 25, 2009 9:44 pm It would look stunning with dark cabinetry, I reckon. I really love dark cabinetry, but our kitchen doesn't get enough light for that. Compromised by having dark laundry cupboards and powder room vanity. Those have not been installed yet (tiling just finished), so fingers crossed they look good. I'd love a weekender of any sort! It would be lovely to get away from it all. Aaah, one day!!! He didn't say a passport, did he? Maybe he's whisking you off to Vanuatu or Hawaii or something ? Those instructions sound very "resorty"!!! (Not a word, but you know what I mean !) That will be great to look forward to when the daily grind gets to be too much. I really HOPE I don't have to wait until I'm 50, cos I'm turning 38 in October, but the way things are going, it might be when I'm 70!!!! Anyone stressing over a splashback, check it out!!! (Anyone who isn't, it's great fun to play with, anyway!!!) But I haven't found another site where you can change the benchtop colour AND the splashback colour AND the walls and floor. For example, most splashback sites let you change the colour of the splashback on their example pics, but none of the other components. And blue and brown DO look good together, on that site at least!! - they even had a splashback colour similar to Baltic!!!
