Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Aug 20, 2009 10:02 pm I got a phone call yesterday from M and they state they couldn't find our splashback color Alecon Lace. I told them we chose it with Crystal Screens over 6 months ago-I got told M does not use this company any more. I told them I did not want to change the color we had chosen as it was such a nightmare to get the right color to match the rest of the kitchen colors in the first place. She said she would look into it. I rang Crystal screens and they state they don't do many splashbacks for M anymore but do an occasional one for the 2 storey designer range homes, which ours is. Have not been able to get any further info from M about this issue but i'm going to be very unhappy if I have to run around and find another color when the splashback was meant to be installed next week. Anyone else run into similar dramas? I believe Henley has also stopped using the color "Alecon Lace" too-what is going on??? Re: Having trouble getting our splashback color with M 2Aug 21, 2009 5:06 pm That was the same colour we were going to have through the same company, but when we had to get new builders in to finish our house they used a different company, so we had to choose a new colour. I'm very happy with the new colour so wasn't a major issue. I am sure though I was reading somewhere on the forum just recently that another member was having that colour and that it was a Dulux colour (strangely enough our new supplier said we could have any colour in the Dulux range even though they told us they couldn't give us that colour, who knows ). So not sure if this is right and maybe worth asking Michelle because I would have thought if it is then pretty much any company should be able to supply it. Good luck with it because I know how much of a stress it can be when this happens. Re: Having trouble getting our splashback color with M 4Aug 22, 2009 11:01 am Of course it is, don't you love that. I ended up going with a colour called Stone. Completely different to my original choice, but I think I am much happier with it actually. Our cupboards are quite dark and we have an ivory benchtop so I think the change ended up working for the better.
