I understand that it would depend on which tile, which glass & the area being done. But if anyone has some costs, I'd be great if you could let me know. Re: Cost of Tile vs Glass Kitchen splash back? 2Feb 26, 2009 8:04 am Not sure about glass or tile, but I got a metal manufacturer to make up a stainless steel one (120x100cm) for $150 and stuck it up with "No Nails" glue. It looks fantastic with a stainless stove Re: Cost of Tile vs Glass Kitchen splash back? 3Feb 26, 2009 9:01 am tile if far cheaper but the glass is fantastic. Just wipe with damp cloth & then dry with microfibre cloth & it's done. No grout to worry about.
As I was just putting a new kitchen the glass covered any holes in the gyprock when the tiles were removed from the walls. cost me about $1200.00 depends on the size needed. the cost of tiling would of been about $500.00 . I have a friend who got the glass painted stainless steel colour. Not really sure why she did that as she could had something else just for the colour. She got the kitchen company to do as it was cheaper but then she was sorry as they did in three sections across the back of the cook top and she doesn't like the joins. Mine is in one long piece across the wall. In fact most of the kitchen is done. decoglaze will give you quote for it. Go to their website & you can see sample kitchen & select colours so you can see what that colour will look like.
