I have fitted solid ceasarstone splashbacks for customers and they are 20mm thick and alot hevier. No issues at all! Sorry for not answering earlier!! Thers is no problem, it's just a personal thingy (aka fixated idea ). We ended up using those large panel tiles (900 x300 x5 mm), they are gorgeous (and light weight too).
