Browse Forums Laundry Appliances Re: Squeezing a washing machine in under a bench? 3Mar 07, 2022 4:23 pm Jenni Hi All, We recently moved and our new place has a European-style laundry in the garage. We have a front loader (Electrolux EWF14742) that's 84.8 cm high (which seems to be pretty standard) but unfortunately it is literally 2-3 mm off fitting under the bench. The bench has a big overhanging lip - there would be plenty of clearance if we could just get it under. I'm keen to hear if anyone has any suggestions, before we replace the perfectly good machine or mess around with the bench. The feet don't seem to come all the way out so that's a no-go. The top does come off but I'm assuming it would be dangerous to run the machine without a lid, even once under the bench? Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks!
