Browse Forums Laundry 1 Jun 11, 2014 1:11 pm I need to find a decent volumed drop in laundry sink that is less than 400mm wide to fit into a 1000mm wide benchtop (1000mm including washing machine) Milena has a w544mm long * 364mm wide sink that seems to do the trick at 32L, however would this fit into a 600mm deep cabinet? (would only seem to leave 2.5cm on the edges of the sink) http://www.milena.com.au/products_inset.html Anyone else have another solution? Re: Narrow Laundry Sinks 2Jun 11, 2014 3:23 pm Hi, I just bought a round Clark sink to fit in our 600 wide bench. It has a landing for tap included in it. It is 400 wide. I got it from Bunnings. Re: Narrow Laundry Sinks 3Jun 11, 2014 3:47 pm I think that is this one? http://www.bunnings.com.au/round-bowl-u ... t_p5110273 415mm is no good for me, maximum I could go is 400mm (I have 1750mm to play with to fit a laundry, sink, and toilet) and that includes the area from the sink to the edge of the benchtop. Re: Narrow Laundry Sinks 4Jun 12, 2014 8:31 pm Have you looked at the Oliveri sinks? They have quite a good range. For anyone else interested I found their entire range at http://www.oliveri.com.au/downloads/Oli ... mplete.pdf The 2nd and 3rd last pages of this brochure are really useful as a summary of what they've got. Re: Narrow Laundry Sinks 6Jun 14, 2014 3:31 pm Have you found one to suit you? Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Narrow Laundry Sinks 8Jul 08, 2014 8:37 am Do you have a design of the wall/space of the area you can post? Don't forget you have an overhang on the front of the bench (minimum of 10mm), the thickness of the doors (minimum 16mm), and then a front rail in the cabinet, to hold the bench up, and doors to stop on (minimum of 12mm, unless aluminum is used). So at a very tight maximum, most sinks will need to be 40-50mm off the front of the bench. The milena sink will be very very tight, probably too tight (dependent on how the cabinets are made). Setting the front of the sink 40mm off the front edge, only gives you 16mm at the back (less your splashback). When calculating the width, don't forget you have two 16mm gables behind the door (take 33mm off the cabinet overall size). Plus, if its against the wall, there will need to be a clearance, or preferably a pack or a gable to space the door off the wall. If the end is open, there may be a finished panel applied to the end as well. Given you probably have about 358-368 internal carcass width, one suggestion would be the Abey Hunter. It's 406 wide, and 200 deep. The bowl is 356mm wide , so will just fit between the gables (**only if you don't have panels fitted ontop of the gables) http://www.abey.com.au/store/abey-kitch ... he-hunter/ Also have a look at Mercer products. Quality is like buying oats. If you want good, fresh oats, you'll pay a fair price. However,if you can be satisfied with the oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper.
