I know I should be posting this in the laundry section - but it seems awfully quiet in there so thought I'd post in here quickly.
We will be getting our laundry fitted out in the coming weeks, and we have never had a dryer - but - we are going to allow space for a wall-mounted dryer above the washing machine (at cupboard height, not sitting directly on top).
I have read bits and pieces about dryers having to have vents and all sorts of things. I know you can get new fangled dryers these days that contain the condensation - or reduce the condensation (my technical explanation) but quite honestly, Im not mad about the look of them (silly, huh?), and not sure we can afford one as they are more expensive. So for now, we will probably end up with the 'older style'.
Our laundry does have a window. But can someone please advise if any other special requirements are involved to have a dryer in the laundry? And does the window have to be open every time you use the dryer? Of course I can ask the guy in the shop but sometimes I like to do my own research outside of the actual salesperson. And I want to make sure we make allowances before the laundry is fitted as it might not be until next winter that we bother buying/installing the dryer.
TIA
