Browse Forums Laundry 1 Apr 20, 2009 1:22 pm Rather than having the normal metal laundry trough in the mudroom/laundry I'm thinking of getting a deep ceramic / clay one instead. The sink will be a multipurpose sink built into the bench but it's main use will be to wash hands and wash horse stuff (bits, halters, gear etc). I know that most laundry tubs are deep and metal for soaking clothes etc but I have never ever used the tub for this purpose and instead soak stuff in the washing machine (general muck) or buckets with lids (yukky muck). I really like the look of the ceramic/fireclay ones, I think they add a warmth and lightness. My only concern is that it's not going to hold up to metal horse bits and halters whacking about in it.
