Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Feb 18, 2018 12:19 am What is the air flow I should be aiming for? I have space for a 90cm fixed or sliding hood. My kitchen does not allow me external access and will have to recirculate the air. I cook curries and the like fairly often and will use a charcoal filter. Your input will be appreciated. Re: Range Hood? 2Feb 25, 2018 2:23 pm Codari/Qasair have a good buyers guide on their website, They do recommend twin or more motor units for Asian & Indian cooking (so 1,800m3/Hr). I'm not sure if anyone does a recycle unit with that much airflow, So you definitely have no access to external wall or ceiling space? Extraction The type and brand of cooking appliance used with the rangehood will determine the required air movement. In general, Condari suggests that Qasair Rangehood with two or more motors is used with the following indoor appliances or styles of cooking:
Condari does not recommend using a standard Qasair rangehood over cooking appliances with a rating of >50mj. Condari will custom make a rangehood to work over these appliances. Re: Range Hood? 3Apr 07, 2018 1:12 am We are searching for a 90cm undermount rangehood (either Qasair or falmec) for Chinese style cooking. Observing my mother in law in the kitchen, Chinese style cooking involves a lot of oil (which I am not fond of). I hate seeing (and cleaning) fine oil particles on kitchen cabinetry and other surfaces. The airflow we are aiming should be at least 2,000 m3/h or more. Since your kitchen does not allow you external access, best to cook your curry outdoors. My dad cooks his malaysian curry outdoors and I can smell it a mile away. Embarrassing, but at least your house won't stink up. |
