Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Feb 14, 2016 10:55 am Hi, If anyone has fitted an Ikea Valfri Double oven in their kitchen, can they assist me with the following query. The installation instructions (see link: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/assembly_inst ... 8072-4.pdf ) for the oven show an overall height dimension of 888mm but then on the last page of the instructions the stated dimension for the oven cabinet cavity is 907mm in height. In my mind this would then equate to a 19mm gap between the top of the oven and the above shelf which doesn't seem right. For example, the other appliance manufacturer instructions I've looked at show their required oven cabinet cavities to be slightly smaller (or the same as) their oven overall dimensions, so that the top of the oven face overlaps the front of the above shelf slightly and no gap then shows etc. Therefore, if anyone has fitted one of these ovens would they mind passing on their fitting experience if possible? Ps. Reason I ask is we are having a custom kitchen built so I need to double check this dimension before giving the details to the cabinet maker. Any assistance in clarifying this point would be appreciated. Hobbes You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
