I am doing research on rangehoods and have been recommeded to buy one of these and am not sure if I should consider Qasair instead. Was advised that Qasair will cost much more than either the Scheigen or the Whispair. No, I don't have a Schweigen or a Whispair Rangehood. I got a Miele at home. I did buy a qasair but found it too hard (and expensive) to install so I ended up selling it on ebay. I've seen both Scheweigen and Whispair in showrooms and I think they're similar but the Whispair seems to look nicer or better finished to me. With the qasair if you want to get the extended warranty you'll need to use one of their approved installers which means you can't really shop around on installation costs. Also you'll need thier own special ducting pieces for qasair. It's ok if it's a straight forward installation but for more complex installation you'll need to buy several different ducting pieces and it can add to the cost. We also do a lot of asian/indian cooking and our house doesn't seem to get clogged with the smell of food during/ after cooking. Noise level is good too as the motors are outside, so can't really complain. Cheers, Reece I take it you don't have any neigbhours in close proximity? If you do they will be the ones 'enjoying' the noise and smells of your kitchen. Re: Range hood recommendations - Qasair Vs Schweigen 10Sep 23, 2019 5:57 pm Dude. You've found every thread that mentions an external motor rangehood and resurrected it. We get that you don't like them and obviously have an issue with your neighbours installation but do you need to pull up a 5 year old post to flame them.
