Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Mar 24, 2014 12:49 am I have a new electric oven. It was part of the upgrade package for my new house. Something is not right with this oven, the front panel indicator light stays on for a long time (a few hours) after the oven has been turned off. Sometimes the light flickers. A technician was sent out. The problem was diagnosed as a feedback on neutral in the oven circuit. The technician could not figure out the cause of the problem. He replaced an element in the circuit but that did not fix the problem. A second technician was sent out but he could not figure out the cause of the problem either. His supervisor remembers a similar case at another new house. The technician could not give me an answer when I asked him to explain the relevance of the new house in relation to the problem. To 'fixed' the problem, he installed a resistor in the oven circuit . I am not happy with this solution. I don't think this is a proper fix. It is a quick and dirty work around. I rang an oven repair service and was advise that the problem could be related to a faulty thermostat. Another person reckons that this could be caused by an faulty wiring in the house. What should I do? I would like to get this fixed properly. 1. Is this a problem with the oven circuitry? 2. Is this a problem caused by a faulty wiring of the house? 3. Can I do a quick test to check if there is a faulty wiring in the house? Has anyone had a similar problem or have the experience to advise. Please help ......... Hi everyone!
