Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Jan 11, 2013 11:02 am I like the Bosch pyrolytic ovens. I like the look of the HBG73S550A (or HBA63S451A which appears similar with less functions). I'm trying to choose between the Bosch pyrolytic and the ILVE 600SFPY pyroltic(I Might be able to get the Ilve at a cheaper price), but have no idea which is better ILVE or Bosch (all pyrolytic ovens ). Like the reviews on the Bosch I've read. I also like the telescopic racks., the fst heat function looks good, and the fact that is goes to 300C(supposedly)? Has anyone tried this? The door is dark though, does this annoy anyone? I hate the blast of hot air in my eyes on my current oven... so wondering if the Bosch or ILVE would be similar? (I HATE the old Blanco BSO 665 X I now have. The hot air blasts out, and it burns my eyes! and my hands/arms if trying to grill! The oven barely keeps temp(once you open the door to put something in after 20 mins waiting to warm it loses heat ..or if take off the large fan it can't maintain heat), and my eyes sting with being burnt from the air blast)..and yes extremely noisy fans ..both in oven and the cooling one is even worse. This oven was always like this..never heated hot enough to crisp spuds..and I did call in at the beginning of the warranty. Repair man/assessor waited 25 mins with on high and max fan..reached temp of 190C ..and then said..that proves it works?..If I add something and it cools the oven and it can't heat up again with something in it to as hot as I'd like, that is my fault??..ovens apparently are not meant to be used Also cooled if I took it off the strong oven fan to normal top and bottom elements (not fan forced). I had to stop cooking many things as I couldnt crisp roast potatoes as most the heat was being blasted out instead of retained in the oven!..so much for the oven cavity cooling!)) My previous oven, a Roden could be fan forced but was a standalone and vented thru the back and thru the back left hotplate element..really convenient as the heat then was extracted by the overhead extractor The Blanco justs heats the kitchen! (made cooking in summer something to be avoided so I switched to bbqs!) I'd love anyone to let me know if they get a blast of hot air in their eyes from the ILVE or the Bosch and how noisy the fans are? as well as how they heat up, cook and anything else you can think of Thanks for your help Jan jan55qld@yahoo.com Re: Bosch HBG73S550A or ILVE 600SLPY pyrolytic oven? Help 2Jan 31, 2013 3:38 pm Snap!!! I've just spent the morning looking at the Bosch too in comparison to the Balnco pyro. The sales guy I spoke to said that Bosch is the better quality model and better value. Its basically a Neff with a different door and no rotating fan at the back for the circo therm. I had Neff back in the UK and loved it. Most likely going with the Bosch pyro this time round. I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions. What is the function of the metal strip about 500mm long x 60mm wide the tell you to… 0 2700 Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well. Hence the question, just hoping someone would… 2 2083 My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven.
