We are renovating our kitchen and have been looking around at appliances.
We have settled it down to Bosch or Asko.
Asko are offering a package of OP8651 oven and T130 gas cooktop for $2699 (this was $3099 about 6 weeks ago) the offer goes until end of October.
The Bosch oven we have been looking at is HBA73B550A and retailing for around $1800-1900. We are not sure on what cooktop to go with but needs to be 5 burner with wok - and must be gas, so if we go all Bosch we are again looking at around $2800.
Miele and others are way above our price range. Oven must be pyrolytic.
Smeg is also in our price range and shops rave about being able to cook on the floor of the oven which increases practical capacity, though reviews are hit and miss.
Reviews for Bosch are very good, the only complaint being the racks tilt up at the front apparently to prevent trays etc falling out the front? I don't know where this feature has come from as I have never dropped a tray out the front of an oven and I can see how this would make an oven less practical - even I think I would be more likely to drop something out the front trying to clear it. Also, we have 1 year old Bosch dishwasher which has been fantastic - it is free standing and so quiet, all we hear is gently whoosh at some parts of the cycle. Expect it to be even quieter when installed in cupboards.
So on to the ASKO - appears great value - RRP on oven is usually $3099 (yeah get a cooktop free), but there are nearly no reviews on them.
Wife has a preference for 700mm oven though very hard to find with pyrolytic, don't want to go to 900mm.
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding these options? Any other suggestions we should be looking at?
Thanks in advance.
