Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Jul 26, 2012 9:34 pm Hi everyone, I'm in need of serious help. We will be fully solar in our new house and to have a electric oven would mean we need a humongous system or to run the generator just to run it. I've never had a gas oven. I have also come up with very little options in the way of gas wall ovens as I want to stay away from the ones on legs or that are below Waist height, this is what I currently have. With young children even if the glass lets of little heat I don't like them as there easy to touch when pulling things out of it and the fact I dislike having to bend down to put things in & out, I much prefer it to be at a easy level to assess. I've seen a few reviews on some gas ovens but there seems to be many duds out there. I also love the idea of the ovens that have the built in but separate section for a grill or smaller oven to use when the big area isn't required. If that makes sense? But think my chances of finding one of these on gas may be slim. Any help on brands would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Re: Gas wall oven 2Jul 27, 2012 9:13 am So far I have come up with 2. Westinghouse double oven but after reading many reviews I have discovered the inner door explodes and its a common problem. Very scary. A shame because I love the look of this one. Belling is the other double oven. But I can't find one single review on it!!! It also seems the grill is actually electric? Re: Gas wall oven 3Jul 28, 2012 3:18 pm After a little more looking around i have come up with a GLEM Gas 60cm built in fan assisted oven. I love the look of this to! Glem gas also have another range called Emilia thats slightly cheaper and theres a oven pretty much exactly the same but externaly looks a little different. Anyone used these. I cant find any reviews on product review. There italian made. Cheers Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well.
