Has anyone got a Highland cooktop? How is it? Would you recommend it?
We've been looking at stoves, and started looking at Bosch, as our dishwasher is Bosch and we'll be getting a Bosch oven. However we've now fallen into the maze of what's better and "bracket creep"
The Bosch cooktops have aluminium burners, and we've been shown brass burners on the Ilve and Highland stoves. Does that actually make a difference? Or is it just a point of differentiation?
Similarly, the Bosch wok burner is around 13Mj/h output, which we've been told is not sufficient for good quality wok cooking. Is this true? The Highland seems to be sufficient in that area to the point of being dangerous!
The Highland has a flat steel base instead of the usual rimmed edges. If you have a boilover on the stove, does it go into the stove itself? How do you clean it out?
