Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Mar 21, 2012 2:22 pm Hi, I have heard recently that F & P may not be the quality brand I thought it was. We have selected a F & P gas cooktop and electric oven for our new build, but will change them if peoples experiences have not been good. If you have F & P in cooktop & oven, are you happy with it, and how long have you had it? Any info gladly received Thanks! Re: F & P oven & cook top - feedback please 3Apr 07, 2012 5:27 pm Hi we have bought the following appliances including a Fisher and Paykel oven. I also have heard mixed reviews of F&P. However the oven is the largest pyrolytic I could find at a decent price. We are putting the following appliances: Dishwasher Meile G5715 SCU XXL Cooktop Gas Siemens ER926SB90A 90 CM GLASS 5 ZONE F/F GAS COOKTOP http://www.siemens-home.com.au/content. ... ent_id=625 Love the glass and the 18MJ wok burner! I will let you know how the oven goes along with the rest of the appliances when we finally have a kitchen! Re: F & P oven & cook top - feedback please 4Feb 09, 2013 2:02 pm This post is a little old so I'm not sure if the OP has already made the purchases for their kitchen. I have a F&P gas cooktop (10 years old), slide out rangehood (3 years old, recirculated) and pyrolitic oven (2 months old). All are stainless steel finish. The gas cooktop is fantastic, my only criticism of it is that the labelling on the stainless steel is now coming away however I know they have addressed this issue in the later models. The slide out rangehood was previously a F&P but over 7 years would intermittently stop working and eventually gave up completely. 3 years ago we replaced it with a newer model of the same thing and unfortunately it is also unreliable and extraction is very poor. We're about to renovate our kitchen and will not be using a F&P rangehood. The oven was also previously a F&P and over the last 10 years different functions started to fail. Eventually even the 'bake' option stopped working so it was time to replace it. This time we got a pyrolitic F&P and I am really in love with it.. would never go back! I obviously can't comment on its long term longevity but others may have some advice for you on that. 2fk Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well. Hence the question, just hoping someone would… 2 2205 My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven.
