Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Oct 29, 2011 2:35 pm Please excuse my ignorance but we are looking for a kitchen place that sells reasonably good cookware, frying pans and bake ware in particular. I Cannot think of places that have a great range. All I can think of is Harris Scarfe and they are very expensive at the best of times and I believe there must be other retailers out there, that have the range that Harris Scarfe does ? I have seen small individual kitchen shops at certain malls but are well over priced. Can someone list some other retailers that stock the same range that Harris Scarfe does here in Melbourne or is Harris Scarfe the only one? Cheers. Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 3Oct 29, 2011 3:37 pm Have you tried Myer or David Jones? They usually have a great range, and often sales too (or you could wait for the Boxing Day sales and grab some wonderful bargains). Otherwise KMart and Target have cookware, but they are often their own branded stuff. I have been known to buy baking dishes from $2 / Reject shops before.... Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... One other place where I bought a great stainless frypan with lid for $20 was Go-Lo, it looks very similar to the ones they use on MasterChef. Sorry I don't buy brand name items, you are paying heaps for the name. Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 7Nov 11, 2011 9:59 pm I bought a copper bottomed saucepan set from Aldi for $100 (2 saucepans, milk saucepan, small frying pan & colander). My large frying pan cost $12 from safeway. So as others have said, you don't need to spend a lot to get quality- just shop around! Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 9Nov 12, 2011 7:50 am I get all ours from Myer. I buy Scanpan when it is 50% off and pop it on lay-by. I purchased a full set of pots for $200 from $400....bargain. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Same deal with frypans and pressure cooker. They have a lifetime warranty too, so theoretically I will never need to buy cookware again. Well worth the initial outlay. If you buy cheap stuff, it will just need replacing. Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 10Nov 15, 2011 9:44 am I was going to say Peters of Kensington (I think you can get most things online) or Victoria's Basement maybe (I live in Sydney). Otherwise try Myers or David Jones sales. Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 11Nov 15, 2011 6:47 pm Surprised Harris Scarfe has not been mentioned yet. Bought my Circulon frypans, Stanley Rogers cutlery set & numerous items there, only buy when on sale, luckily sales every week! ___________ Started design Aug 2011 Plans submitted to council Dec 2011 Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 13Jun 10, 2013 11:55 am buzz My favourite place online for anything kitchen is kitchenwaredirect.com.au They have everything! Victoria's Basement, We go there every 2-3 years and spend around $500-1000 ..... they have great knife selections of high quality knifes at very good prices. The shop at Auburn is very big they have everything form bins to espresso machines and more. Re: Kitchen cookware ..where to buy? 15Feb 24, 2014 11:54 pm Harris scarf mark down their Dutch ovens at sale time drastically. From $399 to about $40 from memory. Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 7010 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6636 2 4687 |
